Custom notifications

Learn how to configure which notifications your company receives and customize the content of call summary notifications across email and Slack channels.

Outdoo has two places where notifications are configured: Company Notifications (which notification types are sent and to whom) and Notification Templates (what the content of those notifications looks like). Both require admin access.

Company Notifications

Go to Settings > Company > Notifications. This page lets you toggle each notification type on or off, and control which channels it uses (email, Slack, or both).

The available notification types are grouped by category:

Conversation

  • Call summary for internal participants (email + Slack)
  • Call summary for external participants (email)
  • Call summary for call owners (email)

Activity Digest

  • Daily upcoming calls digest (email)
  • Daily activity digest (email)
  • Teams' daily activity digest — managers only (email)
  • Weekly activity digest (email)
  • Teams' weekly activity digest — managers only (email)

Collaboration

  • Comment notifications (email)
  • Share notifications (email + Slack)
  • Share viewed notifications (email)

Coaching

  • Weekly coaching digest (email)
  • AI scorecard creation notifications (email)

Slack notifications require the Slack integration to be set up first. See Slack integration.

Notification Templates

Go to Settings > Conversation Capture > Notification Templates. This is where you customise the content of call summary notifications — which sections are included and in what order.

The template controls apply to both email and Slack summaries independently. Each section can be toggled on or off per channel:

  • Call Info (always included, cannot be removed)
  • Call Purpose
  • Call Snap
  • Next Steps
  • Outline
  • Key Points
  • Follow Up Tasks
  • Additional Points
  • Customer Insights

Drag any section to reorder it. The order you set here is the order recipients see in the summary notification. Changes apply to all future notifications — previously sent summaries are not affected.
