Points of Interest in a Call

Learn how to use the Points of Interest tab to identify critical elements in calls including tracker mentions, questions, keyword trackers, and filler words for targeted coaching and improvement.

The Points of Interest tab in Outdoo AI helps you identify critical elements in your calls, such as playbook mentions, questions, keyword trackers, and filler words. These insights let you focus on areas that need improvement and refine your approach.

Accessing the Points of Interest Tab

On the left side of the call page, click the Points of Interest tab.

If applicable, you'll see highlights for tracker mentions, questions, keyword trackers, and filler words.

Click a label to view relevant snippets. Select any snippet to jump to that moment in the call.

Points of Interest Features

1. Tracker Mentions

If your company uses pre-configured trackers, Outdoo AI automatically detects when elements are mentioned. Playbook elements appear with labels and the number of mentions in the call. Click a label to view specific mentions and select any snippet to revisit the exact moment.

2. Questions

Questions are identified and grouped based on who asked them. Questions from your team are displayed with a purple tag. Questions from the other side are displayed with a green tag. Click a tag to view all detected questions, then select a snippet to jump to the corresponding part of the call.

3. Keyword Trackers

Trackers highlight mentions of key words, phrases, or concepts, helping you surface critical parts of the conversation. Click on a tracker label to see where it was mentioned, then select a snippet to navigate to that moment in the call.

4. Filler Words

Filler words are identified when excessively used by the host. These words don't add value to the conversation and may impact clarity.

Common filler words include "like," "basically," "great," "I mean," "sort of," and "you know." Vocalized pauses such as "um," "uh," and "hm" are omitted from transcripts but not flagged as filler words.

The system considers both absolute and relative prevalence compared to typical usage. Only words that exceed a defined threshold are flagged.

How Outdoo AI Detects Filler Words

Before flagging filler words, Outdoo AI analyzes the frequency of a word in the call and how its usage compares to its general prevalence in the language.

Example:

  • Rare phrases: a term like "at the end of the day" might only be flagged if used significantly more than average (for example, 10 times more).
  • Common words: frequent words like "like" are flagged even if used just twice as much as others.
