AI Questions

AI Questions are questions you write once and Outdoo answers automatically for every conversation, deal, or account. Instead of reading a transcript to find out whether pricing came up, you ask the question once and read the answer on each call.

Go to Settings > Analysis > AI Questions.

What a question looks like

A question is plain language, phrased so it can be answered from what was said or from the record's data. Good examples:

  • Did the team member confirm the budget owner?
  • Was a competitor mentioned by name?
  • Did the customer give a timeline for the decision?
  • Has this account raised the same issue on an earlier call?

Questions that ask for a judgement call — whether the conversation went well, for instance — belong in a scorecard rather than here. Scorecards are built for scoring against criteria; AI Questions are built for retrieving facts.

Question types

Every question has a type, which decides what the AI reads to answer it:

  • Conversation — answered from a single call. The answer appears in that call's detail view.
  • Deals — answered from everything Outdoo knows about a deal, including all of its calls and its CRM fields.
  • Account — answered at the account level, across all deals and conversations for that customer.

Pick the narrowest type that fits. A question about what was said on one call should be a Conversation question; making it a Deal question makes the answer harder to attribute.

Add a question

  • Click the add action on the AI Questions page.
  • Type the question in Enter question.
  • Choose the type from Select type.
  • Save.

The question applies to conversations processed from that point forward. It does not run against your call history.

Manage existing questions

The list shows each question with its type as a coloured badge, and you can filter the list by type. Each row has an edit and a delete action.

Editing the wording of a question changes how it is answered from then on; earlier answers are not recalculated. Deleting a question removes it and its answers, and cannot be undone.

Keeping the set useful

Teams get the most out of this feature with a short, well-chosen list rather than an exhaustive one. Every question runs on every matching record, so a list of forty questions produces forty answers per call and nobody reads them. Start with the handful your managers actually ask in pipeline reviews, and add more only when a real gap shows up.
