CRM Field Settings

CRM Field Settings is where you choose which fields Outdoo pulls in from your CRM for accounts and opportunities. The fields you select become available in Outdoo for filtering, reporting, and deal views, so it is worth being deliberate rather than selecting everything.

You reach this page from a connected CRM, so it always opens in the context of one CRM — Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive. The page title shows which one you are editing.

Account and Opportunity

The page has two tabs, and each keeps its own selection:

  • Account — fields on the company or account record.
  • Opportunity — fields on the deal or opportunity record.

Switching tabs does not lose your work on the other tab.

How fields are listed

Within each tab, Outdoo lists your CRM's standard fields first, then your custom fields underneath. That ordering is deliberate: the standard fields are the ones most teams want, and custom fields in a mature CRM instance can run into the hundreds.

Select the fields you want Outdoo to read. Anything you leave unselected stays in your CRM and is simply not pulled across.

Choosing what to sync

A few guidelines that save cleanup later:

  • Start with the fields your team already filters and reports on — stage, amount, close date, owner, industry, region.
  • Add custom fields only when something in Outdoo depends on them, such as a deal board filter or a report grouping.
  • Skip free-text notes fields. They rarely give useful filters and they make records heavier to sync.
  • Revisit the list when your CRM schema changes. New custom fields do not select themselves.

After you change the selection

Field selection affects data pulled from that point forward. Adding a field does not retroactively populate it on records that were already synced, so give the next sync cycle time to fill it in before assuming something is broken.

If a field you expect is missing from the list entirely, check that the connected CRM user has read permission for it. Outdoo can only offer fields that the authenticated CRM account can see.
