Create keyword trackers
Keyword trackers monitor specific words or phrases across your calls. Once set up, Outdoo flags any call where the tracked term is mentioned, surfaces it in call summaries, and includes the data in Insights and Win/Loss analysis.
Go to Settings > Analysis > Trackers and click Create Tracker.
Tracker details
Name: Use a name that describes the purpose, not the word being tracked — for example "Pricing objections" rather than "expensive." The name itself is not tracked unless you add it as a phrase.
Language: Set the language for this tracker. To track phrases in multiple languages, use + Add Another Language.
Tracker type: Choose Watchword, Competitor mention, or Product feature. This affects how the tracker is categorized in reporting.
Sentiment: Set whether mentions of this term are typically positive or negative in context.
Phrases to track
Enter the terms or phrases you want to monitor, separated by commas. For a phrase containing a comma (like a price range), wrap it in quotes — for example, "10,000" — so it is treated as a single term rather than two separate ones.
Check Include Related Word Forms if you want Outdoo to also catch variations — enabling this for "renew" will also capture "renewal," "renewing," and "renewed."
Who said it
Choose whether to detect the phrase when said by anyone, only by people in your company, or only by external participants (customers and prospects). Tracking a competitor name said by customers is a different signal from the same competitor name said by your reps.
Additional filters
You can narrow when the tracker fires:
- Questions only — only flags when the phrase appears in a question
- Call timing — restrict to the first 5 minutes, last 5 minutes, or a custom range
- Topics — only track during specific call sections like Discovery or Closing
Display options
Choose where tracker data appears:
- Call page (shows mentions inline during call review)
- Post-call emails
- CRM export
- Insights and API
Click Create Tracker to save. The tracker will apply to new calls from that point forward.
