Revenue Analysis overview
Revenue Analysis is the section where you configure the metrics, formulas, and targets that Outdoo uses to evaluate pipeline health and forecast accuracy. It connects your CRM deal data to the benchmarks your team is measured against.
Go to Settings > Revenue Analysis to access this section. It is available to admins and RevOps roles.
Metrics
Metrics are the individual data points Outdoo tracks for pipeline analysis — deal size, stage progression rate, time in stage, number of contacts, call activity, and similar measures. The Metrics tab shows what is being tracked and lets you enable or disable specific metrics for your analysis views.
Outdoo provides a set of default metrics out of the box. If your team tracks custom CRM fields that are not covered by the defaults, contact support to discuss adding them.
Formulas
Formulas let you build calculated metrics from existing data points. For example, you might create a "pipeline coverage" metric that divides total open pipeline value by the team's revenue target, or a "deal efficiency" metric that combines call frequency and deal stage progression.
To create a formula: go to Settings > Revenue Analysis > Formulas, click Add Formula, name it, and define the calculation using the available fields. Saved formulas appear as selectable metrics across your deal boards and forecasting views.
Targets
Targets set the benchmarks your metrics are measured against. You can define targets at the team level or by individual rep. Common use cases:
- Setting a quarterly revenue target for the team
- Setting per-rep pipeline coverage targets
- Defining acceptable talk ratio or question rate ranges for coaching benchmarks
To set a target: go to Settings > Revenue Analysis > Targets, select the metric, and enter the target value or range. Targets appear as reference lines on performance charts and deal boards so managers can see at a glance where the team stands relative to goal.
How this connects to deal boards
The metrics and targets you configure in Revenue Analysis feed directly into deal board views and the Forecasting section. When a deal shows a risk flag or health indicator, those are calculated against the benchmarks you have set here. Keeping your targets updated as goals change ensures the deal board reflects current expectations rather than outdated ones.
